Right at Home of Central New Jersey
Celebrates Grandparents Today!
The right people, doing the right things,
the right way, for the right reasons.
Right at Home.
In 1978, President Jimmy Carter signed a federal proclamation declaring the first Sunday after Labor Day as National Grandparents Day.
Grandparents Day was created to honor all grandparents and their role in helping our families and communities. Many grandparents provide care and support not only for their children but for their grandchildren as well.
While Grandparents Day was established first in America, the concept of it has spread around the world and now many countries, including Australia, Brazil, Canada, Italy, Japan and the United Kingdom all celebrate the day at some point throughout the calendar year.
The purposes behind Grandparents Day are threefold: to honor grandparents, to provide grandparents with an opportunity to show love to their children's children, and to make everyone aware of the strength, information and guidance that older people can offer to all of us.
Right at Home of Central New Jersey is proud to provide care to our clients who are grandparents. We thank them for all that they do for their families and we honor them not only today but every day!
If your grandparents need help with activities of daily living, please call Beth Sholom, Owner/Executive Director of Right at Home of Central New Jersey to let us know how we can help them. We provide care from a few hours a day to overnight shifts to live-in care. We'll work with you to come up with the best plan for your grandparents and always be available 24/7 to help. We'll care for your grandparents as we would for our own!
