Right at Home of Central New Jersey has been offering since 2016 free cultural competency training sessions to assisted living facilities, rehab centers, long term care facilities and senior centers focused on working with their older LGBT adult population.
LGBT older adults are our clients, neighbors, residents, co-workers and friends and they often face unique issues that we believe our cultural competency training session can address.
To continue our tradition of working with older LGBT adults and supporting more training and education focused on working with the community, we invite you all to attend a webinar entitled "Understanding the Older LGBT Community and Its Unique Needs and Barriers" on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at 1:00 pm EDT.
Here is the link to register for the webinar. After completion of the webinar, you will receive 1 free CEU credit.
We hope you will join Right at Home of Central New Jersey and our colleagues to learn more about the unique issues facing the older LGBT population and how they affect the population's willingness to seek out services.
Right at Home of Central New Jersey has been providing both education about and care for older LGBT adults for many years and are proud to continue to do so.
If you have any questions, please contact Beth Sholom, Owner/Executive Director of Right at Home of Central New Jersey at beth@rahcentral.com . We look forward to sharing this valuable information with all of you.
