Right at Home of Central New Jersey
Celebrates All the Cancer Survivors
The right people, doing the right things,
the right way, for the right reasons.
Right at Home.
June 2 was National Cancer Survivors Day . For 32 years, this health holiday has been observed to not only celebrate those who have survived cancer but to inspire those who have been diagnosed with cancer and to provide support to their families.
As the National Cancer Survivors Day Foundation reminds us:
"Life after cancer is about more than just surviving.
It's about living. It's about celebrating the milestones, both major and mundane. It's about thriving
in spite of adversity".
In order to stay healthy, the Foundation recommends that cancer survivors:
- Get regular exercise which can improve health as well as deal with the fatigue that arises from the disease.
- Eat a balanced diet.
- Avoid smoking and second-hand smoke.
- Limit alcohol intake.
- Maintain a health weight.
- Go for regular check-ups with your medical team.
If you or your loved one needs help as they deal with recovering from cancer or any other medical condition, please call Beth Sholom, Owner/Executive Director of Right at Home of Central New Jersey to let us know how we can help you and your family. We can provide care from a few hours a day to overnight shifts to live-in care. We'll work with you to come up with the best plan for your family and always be available 24/7 to help you. We will care for your family as we would our own!
