Right at Home of Central New Jersey Remembers Stan Lee

On November 12, Stan Lee passed away at the age of 95. For those of you who aren't familiar with him - and we can't imagine that is many of you - Stan Lee was known as The Godfather of comic book heroes. Stan Lee started off as an intern at a company called Timely Comics which eventually became Marvel Comics. Mr. Lee was indeed a marvel himself as he was a writer, a publisher, an editor, an actor and eventually Chairman Emeritus of Marvel. He is responsible for creating some of most iconic comic book heroes ever from Spiderman to the Fantastic Four, the Incredible Hulk to Daredevil, the X-Men to Iron Man. He also appeared as an actor in many of the action films made about these comic book heroes he created including Guardians of the Galaxy, several Spiderman movies, Daredevil and Captain America. As a writer, Stan Lee knew how to craft words and had several memorable quotes as follows: "We all wish we had super powers. We all wish we could do more than we can do". "Comic books to me are fairy tales for grown-ups". "With great power comes great responsibility". Perhaps his most famous quote was "I guess one person can make a difference". That belief and conviction is something that we all should aspire to. We all have people we can and should help. We all have the power within us to change someone's life for the better. We all have the means to be the person who makes a positive difference in someone's life. Thank you, Stan Lee, for your life well lived and for reminding us through your characters and words that we all can be a superhero for someone else every day.
